New Exciting Position - Purchasing Analyst

JOB SUMMARY

Our Purchasing Analyst will have a passion for purchasing and will love supply chains.  You are obsessed with getting the right materials to do the job and not stop until that mission is complete.

You will ideally be a hands-on, problem solving, multitasking team member who has a strong understanding of supply chain management.  As the Purchasing Analyst, you will order raw materials/packaging as well as consumables to support Torani operations.  The position is responsible for ensuring continuous and cost effective supply of raw materials, and maintaining inventories of raw materials and consumables necessary to meet production demands.

ACCOUNTABILITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

·         Support efficient and cost effective raw materials purchasing and inventory control.
·         Complete item set-up, enabling the issuance of Purchase Orders for new vendors and new raw materials.
·         Work with suppliers to resolve any delays in product shipments and resolve issues that arise with orders that are incorrect or missing items and/or documentation. Expedite POs when needed to ensure suppliers deliver on time.
·         Maintain raw material provider relationsnips.
·         Proactive role in cycle counts of raw materials and production supplies.  Monitor suppliers’ performance and compliance, work to improve supplier relations.
·         Preparation and orchestration of yearly physical inventory counts for packaging and delivery items.

CRITICAL SUCCESS FACTORS

·         Inventory accuracy maintained accurately in Oracle.
·         Coordinate raw material testing and analysis to support new supplier qualifications.
·         Lead and support problem solving efforts and hands on involvement in production operations.
·         Manage and measure suppliers for continuous performance and improvement
·         Independently solve problems and make decisions for strategic execution and tactical issues
·         Provide day to day oversight and perform a hands on execution role
·         Successfully contribute as a member on duties as assigned
·         Have FUN!

QUALIFICATIONS & ATTRIBUTES

·         5+ years previous experience in a purchasing capacity or relevant experience; or equivalent combination of Bachelor’s Degree and experience.
·         Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office/Excel applications.
·         Experience utilizing MRP systems, preferably Oracle R12.
·         Demonstrated experience in applying common procurement processes and supplier management.
·         Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other purchasing related processes.
·         Good organizational skills; problem solving skills; multi-tasking; flexible and able to manage multiple projects. Must have strong analytical and mathematical skills. 
·         Demonstrated success in working in a cross-functional, team oriented environment.
·         Ability to work well under pressure and provide follow-up with strong attention to detail.
·         Superior communication skills to handle all facets of strong supply chain partner relationships.
